Septage acceptance guidelinesIn order to dispose at the South Plant facility, a disposal permit needs to be obtained from the DNRP Septage Disposal Program. The criteria for obtaining a disposal permit includes: - Obtain a Valid Pumper Certification from the Seattle/King County Department of Public Health.

- *Note- Vactor type trucks, used for sewer cleaning, are NOT required to obtain Pumper Certification from the Seattle/King County Department of Public Health.
- Submit to the Septage Disposal Program Coordinator:
- proof of King County required liability coverage with the following minimum requirements:
- Automobile liability of $1,000,000 per occurance.
- Each policy shall include King County, its officers, officials, employees and agents as additional insured.
- A signed copy of the disposal site permit.

- Disposal of hazardous waste
- Disposal of commercial waste that is not domestic in nature without prior approval from KCIW
- Inappropriate use of the disposal facility
