24th Annual WateReuse Symposium Recyled Water Art and Writing ContestWater's Memories "A drop of water never dies, tell the story of its many lives"
As part of this year's WateReuse Symposium (external link), the preeminent conference for water reuse professionals being held in Seattle September 13 through 16, King County and the WateReuse Association are hosting a student art and writing contest. Writing and art must be related to the theme of recycling water. Any art or writing piece reflecting on the natural cycling of water, the importance of an infinite clean water supply, or the possibilities for using reclaimed water in communities throughout the world will be accepted. Recycled water (also known as reclaimed or reuse water) is water that has already been used then treated and cleaned, and after meeting strict standards is then reused for non-drinking uses such as industrial processes, irrigation of farms and ballparks, environmental restoration and municipal purposes. Learn more about reclaimed water. This cycle of use, treatment and reuse reflects the natural water cycle and natural soil, wetland or river purification systems responsible for the infinite recycling of every drop of water on earth.
