Regional participation & input in the planning process

Reclaimed Water Comprehensive Planning Area
King County's Reclaimed Water Comprehensive Planning Area (PDF).

The planning process (PDF) includes opportunities for groups and individuals to be engaged throughout the planning process and provide input at every decision point.

How can I get involved?

People can participate in the planning process through an ongoing series of one-on-one meetings and regional workshopsComments and questions can also be sent through the project Web site. Project staff is available for speakers’ bureau events to share information with your group and answer questions.

WTD values your participation. We look forward to your input and hearing your thoughts and ideas on the following topics:

  • Issues to explore/address in the planning process.
  • Potential uses for reclaimed water.
  • Evaluation criteria to assess how serving potential uses for reclaimed water address the drivers for conducting the planning process now.
  • Identification of potential benefits that might arise from expanded production and use of reclaimed water.
  • Conceptual reclaimed water strategies to serve potential uses for reclaimed water.
  • Review of technical, environmental, and economic analyses.
  • Financing plan, including policies to guide how to pay for serving uses for reclaimed water
  • Review and update of Regional Wastewater Services Plan water reuse policies
  • Review and comment on the Draft EIS
  • Development and review of plan recommendations
