Refined Strategies

On May 31, 2011 the King County Council approved a motion to study and analyze three reclaimed water strategies and develop policies for the potential expansion of the County’s reclaimed water system during Step 4 of the planning process.

Data collection and planning assumptions

On April 20, 2010, the King County Executive approved data collection and planning assumptions to develop conceptual reclaimed water strategies for analysis.

Evaluation criteria

On May 3, 2010 the King County Council approved evaluation criteria to assess how serving potential uses for reclaimed water addresses the drivers of the planning process.

Planning process

On December 14, 2009, the King County Council approved the Reclaimed Water Comprehensive Planning process to determine if, how, when, where, and by what funding mechanisms over the next 30 years King County’s reclaimed water program should expand. The King County Council approved a motion to revise the planning process on May 31, 2011.
