Getting approval to discharge industrial wastewater from King County

If your company or facility sends wastewater to the King County sewer system during manufacturing, remediation, cleaning, or rinsing processes, it is most likely industrial wastewater and is subject to local, state and federal regulations.

Once you have an overview of King County's discharge approval process, you may wish to contact the program (see Contact lower left) or to complete an application to discharge industrial wastewater.

Companies or facilities with specific applications to discharge wastewater to the King County sewer system include:

• Commercial septage
• Construction site dewatering
• Contaminated stormwater (supplemental application required)
• Dental practice wastewater

• Biotechnology industry
• Hospital waste
