King County Industrial Waste Program EnvirOvation AwardKCIW's EnvirOvation Award is given to one or more companies that have: voluntarily implemented an innovative pollution prevention strategy; significantly updated their pretreatment equipment or methods; significantly reduced the amount of wastes being discharged to King County sewers; significantly reduced their water use, or shown leadership in helping other companies comply with industrial pretreatment regulations. EnvirOvation Award winners are eligible to be nominated for a King County Green Globe Leader in Industrial Waste Reduction Award.2008 EnvirOvation Award: Protective Coatings Inc. of Kent has won KCIW's 2008 EnvirOvation Award in recognition of its pollution prevention, waste reduction, and water use reduction activities. Apply or nominate for the 2009 EnvirOvation Award. Applications are due December 15, 2009.
