Kirkland Pump Station and Sewer Upgrade Community Meeting Wednesday, Sept. 28 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Peter Kirk Community Center -- Lobby Meeting Room 352 Kirkland Avenue Kirkland The Kirkland Pump Station, located at the corner of Third Street and Park Lane, has been in continuous operation for more than 40 years. To ensure safe and reliable operations for years to come and meet the needs of a growing population, King County is carrying out a project to build a new station that will increase pumping capacity from 6 million gallons per day (mgd) to a peak capacity of 9.4 mgd. The new facility will also meet current design standards including improved odor and noise control. The project will also entail upgrading sewer lines next to the pump station underneath Kirkland Avenue from Third Street to Railroad Avenue.
