Stop by King County’s booth at the second-annual Green Festival and learn simple ways to live green, March 28-29, at the Washington State Trade and Convention Center in Seattle. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
King County’s booth, “It’s Easy Being Green – Let King County Show You How,” provides an interactive experience with county experts and hands-on demonstrations on how easy it is to live a green and healthy lifestyle.
Experts will provide tips and answer questions on a range of environmentally-friendly choices, such as what to consider when purchasing a hybrid vehicle, how to garden “green,” commuting greener by using public transit instead of driving alone, green building and much more.
In addition to these experts, visitors to the booth will get the chance to place a call to the Garden Hotline during show hours. With the help of an expert gardener on the line, visitors can get answers to anything – from simple composting techniques to the best ways to incorporate Earth-friendly practices into everyday gardening.
King County staff will also be featured in special presentations at the festival:
King County’s booth is just one of the 325-plus exhibits scheduled at the event, which promises to be just as successful as last year’s premier event.
King County is a local government leader in creating policies and programs that improve environmental stewardship and create market-based solutions to help protect the planet.
