King County Parks’ popular "Movies@Marymoor" outdoor cinema series welcomes special guest Experience Music Project | Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame (EMP|SFM) to the Wednesday, Aug. 5 screening of “The Muppet Movie.”
A beloved family classic, “The Muppet Movie” features some of Jim Henson’s most recognizable creations and characters, including Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and Fozzie Bear. EMP|SFM will be at Marymoor Aug. 5 to provide moviegoers with pre-movie entertainment, games, prizes and other activities that are perfect for Muppets fans of all ages.
Seating opens at 7 p.m., and the movie will begin at dusk. Admission is free, and a $5/person or $15/family donation is suggested, which helps King County Parks underwrite the movie series.
EMP|SFM is currently hosting “Jim Henson’s Fantastic World” traveling exhibit through Aug. 16. As a special treat, EMP|SFM is giving all those who donate at the movies a free two-for-one pass to the Jim Henson exhibit.
“Jim Henson’s Fantastic World” exhibit features 100 original artworks, including drawings, cartoons and storyboards that illustrate Henson’s creative talents.
