Factoria Transfer Station reopens Saturday morning following brief closure from windstorm

King County's Factoria Transfer Station is set to reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, following a brief closure caused by Thursday's windstorm.

The solid waste transfer station and household hazardous waste facility, at 13800 SE 32nd St. in Bellevue, had to close Oct. 18 after strong winds knocked down trees and power lines, blocking access to the facility.

King County Solid Waste Division staff have been on site since the closure occurred to provide customers with directions to alternate stations.

More information about transfer station and drop box hours, locations and services is available by visiting the Solid Waste Division Web site at http://www.metrokc.gov/dnrp/swd/facilities/transfer.asp. Updated information is also available by calling 206-296-4466, or toll-free 1-800-325-6165, ext. 6-4466.
