King County’s Factoria Transfer Station closed for routine repairs, Nov. 16-18

Routine repairs and maintenance at King County's Factoria Transfer Station in Bellevue means the facility will be closing for a few days in mid-November.

The closure will begin on Friday, Nov. 16 at 5:30 p.m. and is expected to last until 6:15 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, as crews replace the inbound scale and perform maintenance on the outbound scale.

As an alternative, King County residents can use the Renton Transfer Station, at 3021 NE 4th St. Weekend hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Factoria is King County's only transfer station where household hazardous waste is accepted. Residents are urged to plan accordingly for the closure by either disposing of their solid and household hazardous waste prior to the weekend closure, or when household hazardous waste drop-off service resumes at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20.
