Sixth-annual Small Farm Expo slated for March 24 at the Enumclaw Exposition Center
Date: Saturday, March 24th, 2007
Time: 9:00 am to 3:30pm
Location: Northwest Expo Center (formerly King County Fairgrounds) Enumclaw, WA
Interested in learning about shearing and spinning fiber, how to brew
beer, what type of alternative energy you could use, or how to manage
wildlife on your land? Join us on March 24th, for the 6th Annual Small Farm Expo at the Northwest Expo Center in Enumclaw for how-to answers to these questions and more!
The Small Farm Expo is a fun, informative, and free event for the whole
family. This is the only local event that offers concurrent sessions,
each with specialized workshops, to help communicate hands-on, useful
information for small acreage landowners, farmers and all interested in
rural living skills. There will be six tracks this year, each with
four workshops taught by local experts:
- Renewing Energy on Small Farms
- Elements of Rural Living
- Wild about Wool and Focused on Fiber!
- Making the Most of Your Woodlands
- Cultivating Farm Business Success
- Useful Approaches for Improving Your Small Acreage
Plus, you can browse through over 65 booths showcasing local educators,
businesses, organizations and agencies that provide goods and services
to area landowners, much like an old-fashioned country fair! New this
year, the Expo will feature kids' activities, a lunchtime horse parade
and an evening barn dance, hosted by the City of Enumclaw.
This event is presented by WSU King County Extension and King
