Hmong farmers need home gardeners’ help after heavy floods wipe out dahlia flower crops
Mar., 2007: Generations of farmers have earned a living from working the fertile bottomlands along King County's Snoqualmie River. Many of those riverside livelihoods were wiped out last November as widespread flooding inundated farmlands and ruined crops.

6:30 a.m. March 12, 2007: Steady rainfall early Monday morning brought the Snoqualmie River up to a Phase III flood alert level, with the possibility of flooding and road closures in low-lying areas in the Snoqualmie Valley, according to the King County Flood Warning Center.

Phase II flood alerts issued for Green, White rivers
12 noon, March 12, 2007: Scheduled water releases from dams on the Green and White rivers have brought flows on these two rivers into a Phase II flood alert level, according to the King County Flood Warning Center. A Phase III flood alert level remains in place on the Snoqualmie River, while the Tolt River remains at Phase II flood alert level.

King County activates Flood Warning Center as Tolt River passes Phase II flood alert level
12:30 p.m. March 11, 2007: Heavy rainfall has prompted King County to issue a Phase II flood alert level for the Tolt River late Sunday morning.King County activated its Flood Warning Center at 11:30 a.m. to monitor rising water levels the Tolt and all other major river systems within the county.

10 p.m. March 11, 2007: Additional rainfall Sunday evening prompted the King County Flood Warning Center to issue a Phase II flood alert level for the Snoqualmie River. A Phase II flood alert level was issued for the Tolt River late Sunday morning.
