Free presentation teaches top EcoConsumer tips

Sept. 13 presentation highlights effective ways to battle global warming

Learn from the experts at the King County Solid Waste Division how to battle global warming, toxics and other environmental concerns at a free presentation, Sept. 13 in Seattle.

Tom Watson, project manager for King County's Recycling and Environmental Services Program, will lead the discussion, which is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Seattle Public Library's central branch, 1000 4 th Ave. Watson's presentation is sponsored by King County, Seattle Public Library and The Seattle Times.

"The choices that consumers make can have a significant effect on our efforts to deal with global warming and other serious environmental issues," Watson said. "We want consumers to be informed so that they can make environmentally sound decisions."
