King County Parks renting garden plots at Kent

Community garden plots that can reward a summer full of fresh produce or flowers to anyone with a green thumb are available for rent from the King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks (DNRP) at North Green River Park in Kent.

King County's North Green River Gardens feature plenty of 400-square-foot pea patches for rent at $50 each for the season. To register, download the form at http://www.metrokc.gov/parks/news/pdf/comgardapp1.pdf, and mail the completed form with payment to the address printed on the form.

A chart with available garden plots is available by calling Anne Lipe, King County Parks, at 206-205-8751. Prospective gardeners can either visit the garden to choose a plot, or let parks staff assign a plot.
