People seeking information about construction on an upcoming sewer improvement project are invited to an open house to meet King County project staff, get project updates and have their questions answered.
Construction on the King County’s Hidden Lake Sewer Improvement Project will get underway in June. The work will include replacing the aging Hidden Lake Pump Station to provide better service to local residents, and adding an underground storage pipe in Boeing Creek Park to better handle the volume of sewage from the area, especially during storms.
In addition, the county will replace 12,000 feet of the Boeing Creek trunk sewer and 5,000 feet of water mains for Seattle Public Utilities.
The project will improve system reliability and protect public health and the environment by reducing overflows into Puget Sound.
The open house is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2006, at Sunset Elementary School, 17800 10th Ave. N.W., Shoreline.
