Small Farm Expo features workshop for beginning farmers
Are you interested in sustaining farming in the Puget Sound area, or looking for farmland to lease or purchase? Join Mary Embleton of the Cascade Harvest Coalition as she presents "Washington FarmLink: Passing on the Farming Tradition" at the fifth-annual Small Farm Expo, March 18 at the King County Fairgrounds in Enumclaw.
Embleton's workshop will provide attendees with the opportunity to meet people who are looking for land to farm, and people who have land available for farming.

This FarmLink workshop is one of many attractions for farmers and rural landowners at this year's Small Farm Expo, which runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Throughout the day, experts will lead sessions on forestry, composting, small farm equipment, value-added processing, small business management and animal care.

This event is presented by WSU King County Extension and sponsored by King County, the WSU Small Farms Program, The King and Pierce Conservation Districts, Bryant's Tractor, WRS Cover-All, The 4-H Foundation, Del's Farm Supply of Enumclaw, The Enumclaw Courier-Herald, Reber Ranch, Renton Western Wear, Sammamish Valley Grange and Mt. Rainier National Bank.
