June 22, 2006 King County launches new Web site for parks and trails feedback
With just a few clicks of a computer mouse and a handful of keystrokes,
visitors to King County parks and trails can log on to parksfeedback.com
and provide managers with their thoughts about their park or trail
experience.
"We greatly value people's opinions about how our facilities are
managed, and parksfeedback.com
is an exciting new use of technology," said County Executive Ron
Sims. "It's an easy-to-use Web site that gives parks and trail users
a direct line to parks managers and staff."
In 2005, King County Parks tested an earlier version of an online
customer feedback Web site. Sims said the test site was warmly received
by parks and trails users, and that encouraged King County to move
forward with the new Web site.
King County Parks looks after "Your Big Backyard" "
more than 25,000 acres of parks and natural lands, including such
regional treasures as Marymoor Park and Cougar Mountain Regional
Wildland Park, 175 miles of regional trails, plus pools and a world-class
aquatic center. By cultivating strong relationships with non-profit,
corporate and community partners, King County Parks enhances park
amenities while reducing costs.
