Redmond-Bear Creek Groundwater Protection Committee meets Jan. 24 at Redmond City Hall

The Redmond-Bear Creek Groundwater Protection Committee has scheduled a meeting for Jan. 24 at Redmond City Hall to discuss progress on a number of ongoing water-related issues.

The committee, which advises King County and a group of local jurisdictions and water purveyors who have joined to fund groundwater protection activities in the area, will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Trestle Room of City Hall, 15670 NE 85th Street, in Redmond.

The committee is expected to hear updates on several water studies that are under way in the Redmond area, including groundwater-surface water interaction near Evans Creek, a study of the geology between Redmond, Woodinville and Bear Creek, a hydrologic study of the Cold Creek aquifer and others.

Committee members are also expected to discuss upcoming education and outreach efforts.
