Welcome the arrival of autumn and spend some time outdoors restoring
wildland or join the fun by stopping by the third annual Enumclaw
Salmon Festival. Participate in other fun events with King County

- White Knuckle 4x4 Swap Meet, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Buy, sell, trade, have fun! Attend the White Knuckle 4x4 Swap
Meet to find a new treasure. Admission is $5 and children under

Family Festivities
October 1
- Third Annual Enumclaw Salmon Festival, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The Festival offers FREE live music and entertainment, games and
activities all about the salmon, lots of booths, arts and crafts,
and great food. This year, the Salmon Festival is also a featured
stop on the King County Harvest Celebration Farm Tour. Come and
celebrate with us the salmon on the Enumclaw Plateau! Please contact

Volunteer Opportunities
September 24
- Cougar Mt. Red Town Meadow – Newcastle 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This restoration project is sponsored by King County and WNPS.
Enjoy the forest walk, the beautiful setting, and the feeling
of accomplishment that comes with doing good work in a wildland
community by clearing "invasive exotic plants" (weeds),
moving soil, growing native plants from seed, and planting native
meadow plants.

- Sammamish Re-Leaf – Woodinville 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Enjoy the forest walk, the beautiful setting, and the feeling
of accomplishment that comes with doing good work in a wildland
community by volunteering to help restore fish and wildlife habitat
on King County Natural Lands and Parks. To register please contact

King County manages 25,389 acres of parks, pools, open space, natural
land and trails. This includes 68 baseball fields, 61 soccer fields,
four pools, 88 picnic areas, 34 playgrounds, 27 tennis courts, 13
boat launch sites, more than 175 miles of trails, six fishing piers,
four community gardens, a climbing rock, the area's best off leash
dog park and the world class Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.
