Sept. 15, 2005 King County’s Fundamentals of Pruning workshop kicks off the fall gardening season 2005 Archived News As the weather becomes
colder and the summer winds down, King County is offering a free
workshop to showcase the proper techniques of pruning that every
Northwest gardener should be aware of. Find out how to properly
prune now so you will have a more beautiful and healthy garden once
spring rolls around.
King County Parks is offering a FREE three hour
workshop on the Fundamentals of Pruning on Monday, September
26, 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. at Clise Mansion at Marymoor Park.
Horticulturist Terry Brady and parks experts will be on hand to
teach participants when to prune, why pruning is necessary and how
pruning affects your plants and trees.
Bring your own gloves and try out different tools and techniques
-The workshop will be half classroom lecture and half hands on demonstration.

The Clise Mansion is located at King County’s Marymoor Park
at 6046 W. Lake Sammamish Parkway, NE, Redmond.
King County manages 25,389 acres of parks, pools, open space, natural
land and trails. This includes 68 baseball fields, 61 soccer fields,
four pools, 88 picnic areas, 34 playgrounds, 27 tennis courts, 13
boat launch sites, more than 175 miles of trails, six fishing piers,

dog park and the world class Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.
