King County’s Fundamentals of Pruning workshop kicks off the fall gardening season

As the weather becomes colder and the summer winds down, King County is offering a free workshop to showcase the proper techniques of pruning that every Northwest gardener should be aware of. Find out how to properly prune now so you will have a more beautiful and healthy garden once spring rolls around.

King County Parks is offering a FREE three hour workshop on the Fundamentals of Pruning on Monday, September 26, 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. at Clise Mansion at Marymoor Park. Horticulturist Terry Brady and parks experts will be on hand to teach participants when to prune, why pruning is necessary and how pruning affects your plants and trees.

Bring your own gloves and try out different tools and techniques -The workshop will be half classroom lecture and half hands on demonstration. Everyone is welcome but please register ahead with Lynn Tuomisto at 206-205-5854.
