Sept. 12, 2005 King County offers unique workshop on invasive weeds in local wetland areas 2005 Archived News Do you need help managing
noxious weeds on your property? County weed experts will show you
how to take care of problem weeds that are taking over wetlands
and natural areas in the Northwest. Find out what's growing on your
property, which invaders are the most dangerous and what you can
do about it.
King County Parks and the Noxious Weed Program are offering a
FREE workshop on invasive weeds, geared specifically towards
problem weeds that are taking over wetlands and natural areas around
Lake Sammamish and the Sammamish River.
The workshop on these weed invaders will occur on Tuesday, September
20, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Clise Mansion at Marymoor Park,
6046 W. Lake Sammamish Parkway NE, Redmond and will be half classroom
slideshow and half field trip to see these plant invaders in action
at Marymoor Park. Everyone is welcome but please register ahead

Forestry Program, Washington Department of Natural Resources and
the King County Water and Land Resources Division for providing
funding for this program.
The King County Noxious Weed Program works with public agencies
and private landowners to reduce the impacts of noxious weeds on
the environment, recreation, public health and economic resources
of the county. In 2004, program staff worked with more than 3,500
property owners and land managers and achieved control of noxious
weeds on more than 5,100 properties. To find out more about the
