King County Fair will bow with giveaway of free trip for four to NASCAR race

The grand finale of the King County Fair this Sunday evening will be a drawing for a free trip for four to the NEXTEL Cup Series Race, the Sony HD 500, in Fontana, CA September 4, 2005.

Nascar rookie car at the King County FairIn honor of Kasey Kahne Day at the fair, Nextel will give away a trip for four that includes airfare, a rental car, accommodations and four race tickets.

During Kasey Kahne Day at the fair, fans can cheer hometown hero Kahne on to victory during a live radio broadcast of NEXTEL Cup Series Race, they can win NASCAR backpacks, jackets and collectibles, they can visit with Tami Kahne, Kasey's mom, and pick up autographed Kasey race wear. Kasey's actual rookie car is on display through Saturday. .

Fans at the King County Fair will root home town hero Kasey Kahne to victory during a live radio broadcast of the Nextel Cup Series Race from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 24.

The drawing for a free trip for four to the NEXTEL Cup Series Race in Fontana, CA, September 4 will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the South Mainstage near the Nextel Booth.

Kasey's mom, Tami, and the racing gear shop will be on-site all five days of the fair. Kasey's actual rookie car will be on-site Wednesday through Saturday in the Mark Topping Dodge exhibit area. The Kasey Kahne autographed Dodge Stratus and the new Dodge Charger will be on display courtesy of Mark Topping Dodge.

Nextel will also collect old cell phones and accessories and ensure they are recycled or refurbished in an environmentally safe way. A percentage of the value of each phone will be donated to the American Red Cross, specifically its Armed Forces Emergency Services Campaign. Each phone donation is tax deductible.

Kahne is ranked 23rd going into the Sunday's race. Last year he was named rookie of the year and had five runner-up finishes. His career earnings total $2,763,640.

Included in the admission price is access to all the shows, with entertainment scheduled on three different stages. General admission prices are $7 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and $5 for seniors 62 and over.

Hours for the fair are: July 20 & 21 (Wed & Thurs) -- 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; July 22 & 23 (Fri & Sat) -- 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.; July 24 (Sun) -- 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
