Relax this weekend and the next with King County Parks’ activities. Some upcoming activities include the 143rd annual King County Fair in Enumclaw and the Red Town Meadow Project. Check out all the fun activities available:

King County Fairgrounds in Enumclaw

July 20-24

  • 143rd King County Fair – Wednesday through Sunday July 20 & 21 (Wed & Thurs) -- 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; July 22 & 23 (Fri & Sat) -- 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.; July 24 (Sun) -- 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    Elephant ears, root beer floats, baby animals and three stages of continual high quality entertainment are on tap at the 143rd King County Fair, July 20-24 in Enumclaw -- guaranteed to be good clean fun for the whole family. What's more, all the entertainment is free with the price of admission. General admission prices are $7 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and $5 for seniors 62 and over.

Cougar Mountain

July 23

  • Red Town Meadow Project - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

    This restoration project is sponsored by King County and WNPS. Enjoy the forest walk, the beautiful setting, and the feeling of accomplishment that comes with doing good work in a wildland community by clearing "invasive exotic plants" (weeds), moving soil, growing native plants from seed, and planting native meadow plants. July 15-16

  • Speedo Championship Series.

    Friday, July 15 at 9:30 a.m.
    Saturday, July 16 at 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

King County manages 25,389 acres of parks, pools, open space, natural land and trails. This includes 68 baseball fields, 61 soccer fields, four pools, 88 picnic areas, 34 playgrounds, 27 tennis courts, 13 boat launch sites, more than 175 miles of trails, six fishing piers, four community gardens, a climbing rock, the area's best off leash dog park and the world class Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.
