2005 Archived News

Elephant ears, root beer floats, baby animals and three stages of continual high quality entertainment are on tap at the 143rd King County Fair, July 20-24 in Enumclaw -- guaranteed to be good clean fun for the whole family. What's more, all the entertainment is free with the price of admission.

"What people say they love about the King County Fair is the friendly atmosphere, a place where people of all ages can relax and have a nice time" said King County Fair Manager Sharon Roberts. "They love the old-fashioned nature of the King County Fair, and the traditional activities that make it special – such as the opening day Critter Crowning and also the dash of new activities such as the Root Beer Float Garden, offering $1 floats all day long. That's what makes this fair truly unique."

Roberts said the fair remains focused on "re-enfranchising" local communities. The fair expects to involve the family of Enumclaw NASCAR phenomenon Kasey Kahne with a merchandise booth and Kahne-autographed raffle prizes.

Don't forget to stop by the Children's Corner where you will find free crafts, games, and activities for kids of all ages. Roll up your sleeves and prepare to experience the messiest GOOD, CLEAN FUN around.
