Relax this weekend and the next with King County Parks’ activities.
Some highlights for this coming weekend include the Enumclaw Junior
Rodeo and the Five Mile Lake Triathlon. Check out all the fun activities
available:
King County Fairgrounds
July 9-10
- Enumclaw Junior Rodeo – Rodeo Arena, Saturday, noon to
11 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.
Spend your weekend watching hair-raising rodeo competitions that
are fun for all ages at the King County Fairgrounds. Admission
is FREE.
Cougar Mountain
July 9
- Cougar Mountain Running Series 9 a.m.
The Cougar Mountain Running Series kicks off at the Red Town Site
with a five-mile run. Race day registration begins at 7 a.m. and
continues until 8:30 a.m. Racing begins at 9 a.m. with awards
and prizes scheduled for 11 a.m. Cost for one race is $25 and

Five Mile Lake Park
July 10
- Five Mile Lake Triathlon. West of Auburn and east of Federal
Way – 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Join others in this fun swimming, biking, and running event.
Marymoor Radio Control Club (MAR/C) Open House
July 10
- Marymoor Radio Control Club Open House. The model airfield
is located in the northeast corner of Marymoor Park near the east
entrance - 10:30 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m.
The public is invited to see flying and static displays of all
types of R/C models. For more information contact Al Watson at

Weyerhaeuser Aquatic Center
July 12-16
- Speedo Championship Series
Tuesday, July 12 at 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, July 13 through Friday, July 15 at 9:30 a.m.
Saturday, July 16 at 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
King County manages 25,389 acres of parks, pools, open space, natural
land and trails. This includes 68 baseball fields, 61 soccer fields,
four pools, 88 picnic areas, 34 playgrounds, 27 tennis courts, 13
boat launch sites, more than 175 miles of trails, six fishing piers,
four community gardens, a climbing rock, the area's best off leash
dog park and the world class Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.
