Flick pick: Outdoor movies are coming to King County's Marymoor Park

Stars are shining bright in August at King County's Marymoor Park for the First Tech Movies @ Marymoor. Audiences will see their favorite stars ranging from the talents of Keira Knightley to Dennis Quaid to Eugene Levy.

"We are thrilled to provide movies at one of our most beautiful regional parks," said King County Parks Director Kevin Brown. The First Tech Movies @ Marymoor Series will offer ALL movies for free, but suggest a donation of $5 for individuals and $15 for families to support King County Parks and our non-profit partners.

The First Tech Movies @ Marymoor Series offers five shows featuring diverse genre, appealing to a broad audience. The first showing is Wednesday August 3 and people are encouraged to bring their dog's on-leash for a canine appropriate movie. In fact, each of the movies is themed to showcase one of the non-profit groups operating at Marymoor Park and throughout King County Parks. The August 11 movie will appeal to baseball lovers, August 17 cycling enthusiasts, August 24 soccer fans and August 31 the Friends of Marymoor Park are bringing a “dynamite” flick.

Open seating begins at 7 p.m. and the movies begin at dusk. Bring a blanket, lawn chair and family or friends and be a part of the fun at the First Tech Movies @ Marymoor. First Tech will host a drawing for a $50 gift certificate at each movie.
