Nov. 23, 2004 Repair work will partially close Sammamish River Trail in Woodinville November 29 and 30
2004 Archived News
Several
sections of the Sammamish River Trail in Woodinville will be at least
partially closed intermittently Nov. 29 and 30 as Puget Sound Energy
and Verizon work crews replace a number of utility vault lids on the
trail.
The work includes re-setting the elevations of
the existing utility vaults on the trail and installing new 'trail user
friendly' vault covers in preparation for the planned trail widening
and resurfacing scheduled by King County Parks for Spring 2005.
Some
sections of the trail between south of NE 145th St. bridge and 116th.
Ave NE may be partially closed for short durations. Users will need to
dismount bicycles and walk around (as directed by a flagger) and
perhaps wait to pass if some critical activity is being carried out.
For the safety of the users there may be intermittent (up to 10
minutes) complete closures of the section of the trail when the vault
lids/frames are being lifted off the truck and swung in to position. As
the work progresses there will be construction equipment, vehicles and
materials in the construction zone and users will be directed to pass
via the shoulder to avoid construction objects and events.
Any
inconvenience to users caused due to the repair work is sincerely
regretted. For more information, call Project Manager Karan Soi at
206-296-4250.
