Grand Opening is Sept. 24, 2011!We hope you’ll put the Brightwater grand opening on your calendar. This event means the many community and educational amenities here will be available to the public--an environmental learning center with public meeting spaces, striking art, 70 acres of publicly accessible open space, three miles of trails and 40 acres of restored fish and wildlife habitat.

What to know to go

  • Admission is FREE and all are welcome
  • Refreshments will be provided
  • Wear comfortable shoes (and closed-toed shoes for treatment plant tours)

  • Live music with Pacific Cascade Big Band, Garfield Jazz Band and Seattle Youth Symphony
  • Official “flipping on the switch”
  • Activities just for kids
  • Performance artists and book readings
  • Tours of the plant, the art, the habitat and the Center
  • Blessing of the water–Tulalip and Suquamish Tribes
  • Community Resources Expo with dozens of exhibits and garden clinic

Avoid parking hassles... the shuttle only takes 10 minutes!
Parking for the grand opening is limited. Please catch the shuttle!
