Brightwater Art Open House, May 19

Visit the new Brightwater Center for a day of Art!  Join King County and 4Culture Public Art in celebrating the recent installation of Andrea Wilbur-Sigo’s Grandfather’s Wisdom, an artwork that brings the history, perspectives and culture of the First Peoples of Puget Sound to Brightwater. Andrea, a member of the Squaxin Island Tribe and the first documented Native woman carver of many generations, will share the stories her artwork tells and offer demonstrations of traditional Northwest Coast carving techniques. Art tours and treatment plant tours will be conducted throughout the day as well as art activities for the whole family, so bring a lunch and spend the day with us!
