Technical Assistance
Aquatic Plant Management
Forestry Services and Information provides education, technical assistance, and economic incentives aimed toward retaining and providing stewardship of the forest resources of King County.
Noxious Weed Control Program supports landowners by preventing new noxious weed infestations through education, early detection of possible infestations and by providing education on weed identification, weed ecology, and control methods.
Agriculture Services and Information information on the county's Agriculture Program, Farmland Preservation Program, Livestock Program, Transfer of Development Credits Program and WSU Cooperative Extension.
Wild Places in City Spaces provides funds to volunteer organizations, community groups and government agencies for reforestation and habitat restoration projects within the urban growth area of King County.
Small Change for a Big Difference Grant Program provides small grants to support salmon and/or watershed education, enhancement, protection and restoration efforts in King County.

Northwest Native Plant Landscape Guide: information on how to identify, propogate, and landscape with native plants. Includes a native plant list builder to bring to your nursery.
Sound Native Plants (external link): a purveyor of Puget Sound Basin ecotype plants and seeds. Their web site also provides excellent "information sheets" that provide information on how to select and calculate plants for restoration projects.
King Conservation District (external link): provides technical assistance and native plants through their yearly plant sale.
Washington Conservation Corps (external link): a job training and service program that performs environmental restoration projects for state, federal and local agencies throughout the state of Washington.
Salmon Web (external link): a non-profit group providing tools that support education, communication and ecological science focusing on salmon habitat.
Restoring the watershed (external link, pdf): a citizen's guide to riparian restoration in western Washington: this 16-page handbook (in adobe acrobat) from the WA State Department of Fish and Wildlife provides hands-on information that could be of use for your restoration project.

Horses for Clean Water (external link): this program, run by horse owners, provides information on ways to manage manure, pasture management, wildlife enhancement on horse places and landscaping farms with native plants.
