Who We Are
The King County Noxious Weed Control Board consists of 5 volunteers, each representing a particular area of the county, and a non-voting advisory representative from WSU Extension - King County. The decisions of the Weed Board are carried out by the Program Manager, Steven J. Burke.

Regional Noxious Weed Specialsts - There are 8 seasonal noxious weed specialists, each covering a particular area of King County and taking on special projects as needed. These staff members have daily contact with landowners, providing information and technical assistance in plant identification and control options: Matt Below, Trish MacLaren, Jessica McKenney, Frances Lucero, Karen Peterson, Monica Walker, Kimiora Ward, and Maria Winkler.
