What is Knotweed and How Can I Get Rid of It?We will be holding workshops on controlling invasive knotweed in different watersheds in King County in July 2010. These classes are free and open to the public. Check back here in the spring of 2010 for dates and locations or email Sasha Shaw to be added to the contact list for knotweed workshops. The King County Noxious Weed Control Program will describe current grant-funded projects to control knotweed on county rivers and what homeowners can do to fight it on their own property. The class will explain why this plant is so tough to stop and what it takes to control it. This is a hands-on workshop with practical control tips. In addition, participants will be eligible to borrow the program's knotweed stem injectors for use on their own knotweed.
