King County, Washington noxious weed identification and control

Report a noxious weed

Use the form below to report infestations of the following noxious weeds in King County, Washington:Tansy Ragwort, Class B Noxious Weed

  • All Class A Noxious Weeds (all species listed on Washington's Class A list)
  • Selected Class B Noxious Weeds (species on Washington's Class B list that are designated by state and county weed board for this county)
  • Selected Class C Noxious Weeds (species on Washington's Class C list that are selected by county weed board)

Our top priority is to find these regulated noxious weeds because there is still an opportunity to stop them from becoming widespread problems in the county. We are also interested in finding infestations of new weeds or invasive plants that might not be on our radar yet, but property owners are only required to control the regulated noxious weeds.

We are happy to answer questions about non-regulated noxious weeds and weeds of concern, but we are not generally tracking locations of these more widespread weeds at this time, except for specific projects such as the Middle Fork-South Fork Snoqualmie Invasive Weed Project. If you are reporting a weed for a specific project, please note that in your comments.

Please feel free to let us know if you can't identify the plant, but are concerned that it could be a noxious weed infestation. Possible infestation locations might include gardens, pasture areas, in and around lakes and ponds, by rivers, along roads, and in parks or open space lands in your neighborhood. For help in filling out the form, click on the question marks to get weed identification help and interactive maps.
