The Metro Transit Police is comprised of experienced Deputies who are committed to keeping our system safe and making it safer.

Leadership, to me, comes down to three core tenets: Be humble, be helpful and be relevant. I pledge to continue the positive trajectory of the Metro Transit Police by recruiting the most qualified candidates, retaining our high performing members and continuing to invest in the professional development of our team. The Metro Transit Police is comprised of experienced Deputies who are committed to keeping our system safe and making it safer. Together, we recognize that mobility provides opportunities for each member of our community to thrive.

SaFE Reform is a comprehensive, community-based effort that guides Metro and the Metro Transit Police towards providing safe, accessible and equitable transit to support community well-being. As part of the SaFE Initiative, your Metro Transit Police are committed to helping achieve the expectations and goals you expressed:

• An increased presence coupled with a timely and appropriate response if a danger arises, and showing up in an equitable way.
• Making the expectations of its Code of Conduct clear and ensuring that minor transgressions are not a pathway into the criminal legal system.
• Partnering with community-based organizations to make non-transit resources available, and to assist people in crises related to fares, homelessness, mental health, etc., across the transit system.
