2009 Nonprofit application process

The nonprofit application process for 2009 has now closed.  If you would like to be on the notification list for the 2010 campaign please email the Administrator, Junelle Schrum, at junelle.schrum@kingcounty.gov .

Thank you for your interest in the King County Employee Giving Program.  We are very excited that you want to be a part of our fun, exciting, and successful campaign.  In 2008 alone, King County employees pledged more than $1.5 million.

We strive to provide employees with a quality program filled with a wide variety of nonprofit organizations.  The application process and eligibility standards give employees the knowledge that participating nonprofit organizations have met certain criteria.

Returning nonprofits:  You must reapply every year to reestablish eligibility.

Why participate in the Employee Giving Program?

  • Workplace giving is one of the most efficient and effective forms of fundraising.
  • One of the most cost-effective forms of fundraising, allowing more money to go to programs.
  • Planned regular gifts such as payroll deduction are larger gifts.
  • Access to over 14,000 King County employees through print materials, website, and participation opportunities.
  • King County is the only public sector campaign in Washington that allows employees to donate vacation and comp time and convert it to dollars.  This program now in its third year made the average annual gift per participating employee last year $669.00.
  • Provides planned giving and a steady stream of income through the year.

These are just some of the great benefits to participating nonprofit organizations! We look forward to finding out how we can benefit you.
