Ambassador Opportunities

Ambassador - Department/ Division Lead

  • Assist in recruiting work site Ambassadors.
  • Attend Training.
  • Coordinate work site Ambassadors, act as a subject matter expert for department wide questions and information, coordinate any department wide communications and expense reimbursements. 
  • Provide inspiring leadership during the Annual Giving Drive.
  • Collaborating with leadership and work site Ambassadors to ensure that every employee is aware of the Employee Giving Program opportunity by promoting the Annual Giving Drive through presentations, material distribution, and face-to-face communication.
  • Collect any paper pledge forms that may come in, assist in distribution of leadership and employee thank yous, may also include doing special events and bringing in nonprofit speakers.

Ambassador - Work site 

  • Attend Training.
  • Collaborate with other work site Ambassadors, Special Events Coordinators and Nonprofit Speakers, Department/Division Leads, and Management on communications, planning, information and resource sharing.    
  • Act as an on-site subject matter expert for employee questions and information. 
  • Provide inspiring leadership during the Annual Giving Drive.
  • Ensure that every employee is aware of the Employee Giving Program opportunity by promoting the Annual Giving Drive through presentations, material distribution, and face-to-face communication.
  • Collect any paper pledge forms that may come in, assist in distribution of leadership and employee thank yous, may also include doing special events and bringing in nonprofit speakers.

Special Events Coordinator

  • Individuals who would like to do special events at the worksite level but are not interested in being a works site or Department Ambassador. 
  • Special Event Training required.
Nonprofit Speaker Sponsor
  • Individuals who would like to bring in a nonprofit speaker. 

Nonprofit Expo Volunteer 

  • Would you like to help out on a specific occasion but can't commit to being an Ambassador?  Helping with the Nonprofit Expo near you is a great way to participate!  Fill out the Ambassador registration form and check the Nonprofit Expo Volunteer box. No training required!  You may also help with events at your work site.  Connect with your work site Ambassador for more details.

Being an Ambassador is easy!

  • Training that is useful and convenient.  New this year: Shorter training for returning Ambassadors and online training for those who can't attend in person!
  • Tools available directly on the website in the toolkit that can be accessed from anywhere you have internet.
  • User friendly website including more personalized information on the nonprofits.
  • Online Pledging available reducing the need for paper forms to be collected and catalogs to be handed out.
  • Paper pledge forms still available and they may be sent directly to the EGP or picked up in a centralized building location once a week.
  • Thank yous and other items may be handed out by you or sent directly from the EGP.
  • Nonprofit Expo located in five convenient King County locations.  
  • Limited availability of additional nonprofit materials.
  • Assistance in connecting you with nonprofit speakers.
  • Ambassador sign that can be posted at your work site to easily identify you to your co-workers.
  • Updated system allows better data than you had in the past.
  • Weekly emails with updates and useful tips and tools.
