Employee Giving Program Committee

The Employee Giving Program committee is made up of employees from all over King County.  It is a great way to be involved with the EGP and in the workplace.  The commitment involves one 2 hour meeting a month plus subcommittee work.

Purpose

The purposes of the Committee, prescribed in K.C.C. 3.36.030, are to:

• Recommend rules consistent with K.C.C. Chapter 3.36 to the council as necessary
• Coordinate the Employee Giving Program, such coordination may include:
  Determining which federations of charitable organizations may, consistent with this chapter and any rules adopted pursuant to it, participate in the county's giving program and the dates by which applications must be filed for the annual campaign.
• Provide oversight and supervision to the Employee Giving Program administrator

Committee Application Process

Employees interested in joining the committee should complete a committee application and submit it to the Employee Giving Program Administrator.  The Membership Subcommittee will review the application and the Employee Giving Program Committee will interview employees matching the needs of the committee.  If an applicant is a good match, the committee will forward the application to the Executive as a recommended applicant.  The Executive will review each application and forward nominations to the County Council for appointment.
