Awareness campaign

In 2003, the Board of Ethics determined it would create a multi-year campaign to raise employee awareness of the Code of Ethics, the Board of Ethics, the ethics office, and the services they provide.

The ethics Executive Director, assisted by employees of the Department of Natural Resources and Parks (DNRP), designed a unified image specific to county ethics to be used on all Board of Ethics materials. These include:

• ethics posters with tear-off ethics cards distributed throughout county offices and operations facilities
• Ethics Help Line cards for all county employees
• on-line survey/quiz to determine the extent to which employees recalled seeing the awareness materials, and to test their knowledge about the Code of Ethics.
