During its leadership reception on September 21, 2009, the Board of Ethics acknowledged the work of county employee Ben Leifer for his commitment to helping employees make ethical decisions, and for his professional skills and personal dedication in promoting the highest ethical standards within King County. Ben is the Chief Administrative Office for the Department of Public Health. The Board of Ethics also recognized former Chair Lois Price Spratlen for her significant contributions while serving on the board from 1994 to 2009.  Learn more...

Bruce C. Laing has been appointed Chair of the Board of Ethics by King County Executive Kurt Triplett. This appointment will fill the position left vacant by Dr. Lois Price Spratlen when her term as chair expired on July 31, 2009. The three-year term is effective August 1, 2009 and will expire on July 31, 2012.  Learn more...
