A Summary of the King County Code of Ethics (PDF)

The primary purpose of the Code of Ethics is to serve as a guide to behavior for public employees. All of us must follow the provisions of the Code of Ethics. To help ensure the information in the Code is understandable, we have highlighted important sections and given examples you may encounter while working at the county. Because it is a summary, it is not a substitute for reading the full text of the Code of Ethics.

You may read the Summary of the Code of Ethics online, print it out, or contact the Ethics office (either via telephone or by using our publications order form) to request copies.
