King County moves to one payroll system in January 2012

King County will start the New Year with one payroll system for all employees and county officers. The new system will replace the two payroll systems currently in use and give you more details about your pay and compensation information.

For information on how the move to one payroll system will affect you, read the information below that applies to your work group.

Employees continuing to be paid every other Thursday


WTD, Transit, HRD, KC-IT, FBOD, DES Director’s Office

One County, One Payroll
(biweekly to biweekly)

Employees moving from being paid on the 5th and 20th to being paid every other Thursday


Council, Executive Office, OLR, Superior Court, District Court, PAO, DOA, Elections, DAJD, DCHS, DDES, SKCPH (except paramedics), and the remaining agencies in DNRP, DOT and DES who are not paid every other Thursday
