Different employee groups have different medical plan options.

Regular and full-time Local 587 employees    

If you're a regular or full-time Local 587 employee, the county pays for medical for you and the eligible dependents you enroll. You may chose from two medical plan options: KingCare^SM or Group Health.

You have an additional option: you may opt out of medical coverage and receive an additional $65 in monthly pay. Whatever option you select is the option your covered dependents receive.

Part-time Local 587 employees

If you're a part-time Local 587 employee in the Full Benefits Plan, the county pays for medical for you and the eligible dependents you enroll. If you're a part-time Local 587 employee in the Partial Benefits Plan, the county pays a portion of your monthly medical premium and you pay the full cost of dependent coverage. Whether the county pays the full cost of your coverage or not, you may chose from two medical plan options: KingCare^SM or Group Health.
