King County needs more Lean facilitators

Are you excited about Lean? Do you like helping people solve problems? You may be a good candidate for becoming a King County Lean facilitator.

  1. Read the Facilitator Recruitment Brochure.
  2. Complete the Lean Facilitator Application.
  3. Get approval from your management and sign the Lean Facilitator Agreement.
  4. Send application materials to lean.events@kingcounty.gov.

Our goal: develop 40 Lean facilitators across King County government by the end of 2014 – representing the many faces of our employees, the variety of services we provide, and the diversity of customers we serve.

This training series is offered three times each year. The next cohort begins in May 2013.

Gemba is the Japanese word for "actual place." Lean Management encourages "going to Gemba" - to understand the true nature of the work
