Rhonda Berry feels supported by co-workers in her Weight Watchers at WorkTM group and likes the creative ideas she gets on how to eat healthy.
Road to Gold
What it is: King County has created a partnership with Weight Watchers for employees and spouse/partners to earn GOLD by attending or participating in @Work, Community and Online programs. Weight Watchers offers weight management programs that encourage healthy eating, increased physical activity, and healthy weight management behaviors.
How it Works: King County employees and spouse/partners can choose @Work, Community Meetings or the Online Weight Watchers programs. Payment all King County Weight Watchers Programs is through the Monthly Pass Portal.
How to earn Gold: Complete your wellness assessment by February 28, 2013. Employees and spouse/partners can earn Gold with Weight Watchers 3 different ways:
By attending 6* weekly Weight Watchers @Work meetings. Meeting attendance sheets must be signed by meeting leaders. Meeting Leaders will submit forms to Healthy Incentives Staff.
By attending 6* weekly Community Weight Watchers meetings and submitting their attendance forms and proof of payment to Healthy Incentives Staff.
By participating in 6* weeks of Weight Watchers online program and submitting proof of 6 weeks of online tracking (of 3 entries per week) through the online program or via paper along with proof of payment.
Cost: Weight Watchers at Work and Weight Watchers community meetings is $34.35 per month, and Weight Watchers online is $15.15/month. To receive this discount register through the King County WW portal.
How to check my progress:
Weight Watchers@Work – ask your group leader to check your status
Weight Watchers Community Meetings – refer to your attendance sheet. You get credit for those meetings where your team leader has signed your sheet.
Weight Watchers Online – Go into your weight Watchers account. Any week that shows 3 entries per week will count toward gold. (Please, do note, that you MUST submit 6 weeks of your records to Christi.Masi@kingcounty.gov in order to receive credit toward gold).
