This year’s Heart Walk will be held on Saturday October 3, 2009 at Qwest Field.
Gates open at 7:00 a.m.
Walk starts at 8:30 a.m.
Post Walk Festival at 10:00 a.m.
I am pleased to announce that King County is supporting the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk again this year. I support this great cause because I know first hand the impact health can have on our hearts and lives. Did you know that currently one person dies every 30 seconds from cardiovascular disease. This alarming statistic is a cry for us as government servants to step out and raise funds for vital research and programs to help every American live a life free of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
Please join the Heart Walk effort by signing up as a team captain or team member. You can join the walk on-line at www.pugetsoundheartwalk.org. Register under King County Government. Families and friends are always welcome to join your Heart Walk Team.
Remember that if you have a Live Well Challenge team, you can earn points by signing up for the Heart Walk!
