Cranberry orange relish

Serves 4 (1/2 cup servings)

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 1 (12-ounce) package fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange zest

Directions:

  1. Combine sugar, water and orange juice in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add cranberries and return to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and boil gently 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in orange zest or peel, cover and cool completely at room temperature.
  5. Refrigerate until serving time.
