Berry Chocolate Crisp

Ingredients:

  • 24 ounces of frozen mixed berries such as strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries (about five cups)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup wheat germ
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped almonds
  • 6 one-ounce squares of dark chocolate

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 
  2. In a bowl, mix berries with cornstarch. Pour into an 8x8 glass baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, combine honey, rolled oats, wheat germ, cinnamon, and almonds.  Spread over berry mixture and bake for 30 minutes. 
  4. Remove and top evenly with chocolate pieces and return to the oven for 10 minutes.  Serve warm.
