Eat Smart: Take Action - Farm to Work Program

How the program works

Farm to Work is an exciting new program that gives King County employees the opportunity to receive a box of fresh fruits and vegetables delivered directly to their worksite. We think it’s a pretty cool idea. Judging from the initial response, a lot of you think so too.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Contact your Farm to Work coordinator Each participating worksites has one or more coordinators. The coordinators are King County employees who have volunteered to help implement the program. Be sure to give your coordinator(s) your contact information so that he/she can keep you up to date on program changes.

  2. Sign up – Full Circle Farm has been selected as the vendor for the Chinook Building and King Street Center. All produce provided by Full Circle Farm is organic and sustainably grown. This farm offers a flexible membership program. You can change box sizes, take weeks off, and change the contents of your box. Go to www.fullcirclefarm.com and click “Sign Up” to get started. Next, enter your e-mail address and work zip code, then click “Continue".

  3. Select your pick up location – Under "Seattle Metro Area" From the drop down menu select your pick up location.

      • Blackriver Complex (Renton)
      • Chinook Building – select “Downtown - KC Chinook Bldg” and your floor number.
      • King County Roads Maintenance (Renton)
      • King Street Center – select “Seattle - King Street Center
      • KC Telecenter

  4. Select the size and timing of your order – Choose from an array of box sizes containing a variety of organic produce. Then select a delivery frequency and desired start week. Each box contains different kinds of fruits, vegetables, and herbs. As the box size goes up so does the amount of each item in the box.

      • Mini (15-20 servings) - $22.95 per week - Enough for 1-2 people per weekFCProductsPoster_SiteHosts_WA_ID
      • Sprout (20-25 servings) - $27.95 per week - Enough for 2 adults + two children
      • Garden (30-40 servings) - $34.95 per week - Enough for 2 adults + 3 children
      • Harvest (45-55 servings) - $44.95 per week - Enough for 2 adults + 4 children

(Of course these are estimates and are dependent upon how many fruits and veggies you consume in a week).

We have a special promo code for King County employees: KCGOV. New and returning members will receive $15 off their next order.

  5. Pay with credit card or check – Orders can be prepaid using a credit card through a secure server. If you are paying by check please mail it directly to Full Circle Farm. You can pay by the box, or receive a 5% discount for prepayment of 10 boxes.

  6. Pick up your food and enjoy – Check with your Farm to Work Coordinator for the location of the pick up site for your worksite. Boxes will be available for pick up on Tuesdays after 3 p.m. Look for the box with your name on it, pick it up and go. We suggest bringing a bag to help you get the produce home.

Be sure to return your empty boxes to the same location that you picked your box up. Please break down the boxes to keep the drop off area tidy and to assist the delivery driver who picks them up.

Boxes that are not picked up within 24 hours will be removed by Full Circle Farm and donated to a local food bank.
