Eat Smart: Take Action at Work
Healthy Vending Program
The goal of the Healthy Vending Program is to provide more healthy options for employees. "The King County Healthy Vending Guidelines, adopted by the King County Board of Health, provide recommendations for the nutritional quality of food and beverages in vending machines to help make the healthy choice, the easy choice".
Beginning in January 2012 you will find Healthiest, Healthier and Limited choices stocked in your vending machines. You can learn more about the guidelines and the Board of Health decision to provide healthy options in all King County vending machines. The King County Council has also made a motion for healthier vending choices. Read about the King County Council motion here.
